Doing Time- To begin, this movie has a great beginning; it pulled me right into it.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience.The action scenes are really great. Tomoroh Taguchi played his role great. Tsutomu Yamazaki actually caught my interest.

I think Tomoroh Taguchi and Tsutomu Yamazaki worked wonderful in Doing Time. The great supporting cast includes Tomoroh Taguchi, Tsutomu Yamazaki, Teruyuki Kagawa, Kippei Shiina, Ren Osugi.

All in all, I would rate this movie an 8.5/10. I would definitely watch this movie again.

Summary of Doing Time:
Based on the experiences of famed manga artist Hanawa Kazuichi, DOING TIME examines the absurdly regimented lives of five not-so-hardened criminals. The cons spend their days obsessing over menial chores, dutifully obeying the bizarre prison rules (where even doing a crossword puzzle can put you in solitary) and dreaming of their next delicious prison meal. Masterfully directed by Sai Yoichi (BLOOD AND BONES) and featuring a stellar performance by Yamazaki Tsutsomu, DOING TIME reveals that happiness can come in the most unlikely of places.
