Pitted against them are the troops of the Department of Inquisition; Auto-Jgers, zombies created from vampire corpses; the Empress' Janissaries; and any number of turncoats. Blood, bombs, knives, and shells fly. Apparently forgetting his vow never to kill again, Abel single-handedly destroys two aerial warships and their crews. At times, the plot seems to be careening along like an unattended grocery cart on a steep hill, but no one can deny Trinity Blood delivers plenty of action.
