Women in Revolt - What a Movie Review is Not

Wow! I really loved the movie Women in Revolt. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Candy Darling deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Jackie Curtis was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Candy Darling and Jackie Curtis worked wonderful in Women in Revolt. The great supporting cast includes Candy Darling, Jackie Curtis, Holly Woodlawn, Jonathan Kramer, Michael Sklar.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

Summary of Women in Revolt:
Take a walk on the wild side with three girls from different walks of life -- and they've all got man problems! High-society dame Candy, frigid middle-class matron Jackie, and gutter nymphomaniac Holly are inspired by the fashionable Women's Lib movement to get organized as PIG (Politically Involved Girls) and give up men. However, their attempts to go lesbian and build new careers only lead to exploitation and abandonment in this outrageous, gender-bending cult comedy from director Paul Morrissey.

A Full Review of the The Dark Crystal

The Dark Crystal- To begin, this movie has a great beginning; it pulled me right into it.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience.The action scenes are really great. Jean-Pierre Amiel played his role great. Robbie Barnett actually caught my interest.

I think Jean-Pierre Amiel and Robbie Barnett worked wonderful in The Dark Crystal. The great supporting cast includes Jean-Pierre Amiel, Robbie Barnett, Peter Burroughs, Malcolm Dixon, Mike Edmonds.

All in all, I would rate this movie an 8.5/10. I would definitely watch this movie again.

Summary of The Dark Crystal:
Jim Henson's fantasy epic The Dark Crystal doesn't take place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, but like Star Wars it takes the audience to a place that exists only in the imagination and, for an hour and a half, on the screen. Recalling the worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien, Henson tells the story of a race of grotesque birdlike lizards called the Skeksis, gnomish dragons who rule their fantastic planet with an iron claw. A prophecy tells of a Gelfling (a small elfin being) who will topple their empire, so in their reign of terror they have exterminated the race, or so they think. The orphan Jen, raised in solitude by a race of peace-loving wizards called the Mystics, embarks on a quest to find the missing shard of the Dark Crystal (which gives the Skeksis their power) and restore the balance of the universe. Henson and codirector Frank Oz have pushed puppetry into a new direction: traditional puppets, marionettes, giant bodysuits, and mechanical constructions are mixed seamlessly in a fantasy world of towering castles, simple huts, dank caves, a giant clockwork observatory, and a magnificent landscape that seem to have leaped off the pages of a storybook. Muppet fans will recognize many of the voice actors--a few characters sound awfully close to familiar comic creations--but otherwise it's a completely alien world made familiar by a mythic quest that resonates through stories over the ages. --Sean Axmaker
